» Nietzsche resources

While helping a friend do some research on Nietzsche, I came across a few things on the web. Quite helpful, that is, for those wishing to work in German. I have put links in a new section, "German," of the sidebar.

Nietzsche Spurren -- the handiest thing here is the word search of all Nietzsche's works. They're under "Schaffen", for which you will need to register, but it's an easy, casual registration.

Nietzsche Startseite -- this site, in English or German, offers a variety of resources, a timeline, some seems extensive, some of interest only to those in Germany, etc., but also interesting essays on the influence of Pascal, Wagner, others on Nietzsche as well as biographical information.

Nietzsche Briefwechsel -- from the Goethe- and Schiller-Archive, the facsimiles of Nietzsche's correspondence, all searchable and fairly easy to read--these are the originals so one must be up to reading his handwriting. Includes correspondence to Nietzsche.

The Nietzsche Channel -- Newly discovered and it looks great. Has English translations and the German originals of major and some (and adding more) smaller pieces, including "On the Future of Our Educational Insitutions" (tr. J.M. Kennedy), only recently translated into English by Michael Grenke. (Mar. 06)

Friedrich Nietzsche Society -- Very good. Their "Other Sites of Interest" is comprehensive:
